Melika Jahan Beikloo selected for the 2026 FutureBAProf Workshop
Melika Jahan Beikloo was selected as one of 22 participants, from a pool of 117 applicants, for the 2026 FutureBAProf workshop at the University of Iowa.
The workshop brought together participants from 21 institutions to explore academic careers in business analytics, including research, teaching, the academic job market, and faculty career development. Melika had the opportunity to learn from leading scholars in the field and connect with fellow emerging researchers.

Melika Jahan Beikloo presented “Mitigating Harm from Disruption in Illicit Fentanyl Supply Networks: A Stochastic Bilevel Optimization Approach” at the 2026 INFORMS Healthcare Conference in Raleigh, North Carolina. The work, coauthored with F. Janan, Thomas C. Sharkey, and Mary E. Kurz, uses stochastic bilevel optimization to examine strategies for reducing harm associated with disruption and adaptation in illicit fentanyl supply networks.
