Melika Jahan Beikloo presents poster titled “Modeling the Opioid Epidemic Using Agent-Based Modeling and GIS” at the Southern Criminal Justice Association (SCJA) conference in Greenville on September 12th, 2024. The poster explores the use of computational models and spatial data to better understand and address the opioid epidemic in South Carolina. By integrating Agent-Based Modeling (ABM) with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), this project aims to provide insights into the social and spatial dynamics of the crisis, helping to inform more effective intervention strategies.
